Cute gift for my little girl

My 5-year-old daughter loves the bright colors of the paracord and how we did this craft together. The cords are easy to hold for little hand. The charms are pretty cute. Once the bracelet is done, the metal charm only shows on one side so it wouldn’t cause any discomfort on my skin. An amazing craft kit to keep little kids busy in cold winter days.

Fun "crafternoon" with my girls!

My two girls and I got the paracord bracelet kit and we set up a little "crafternoon" date in the livingroom, complete with snacks and this craft kit. They loved it! They are ages 11 and 12 and I found that the difficulty level was right on with their ages. We read through the instructions as we went along and made some adorable bracelets. Can kids pick their own colors?

Yes. Kids choose the cord colors, the buckle, and the charm for every bracelet, so each one comes out a little different. With 8 buckle colors and 5 charms, there are lots of combinations to try.

How do you finish the ends?

Our instructions finish each bracelet without heat. Kids tie one or two extra knots to reach the end of the bracelet, then trim the extra cord and secure the ends so they stay neat.

What ages is it best for?

It is recommended for ages 8 and up. A grown-up can help with the measuring and the first few knots if needed.

Is it safe for kids?

Every Pinwheel Crafts kit is CPSIA compliant, which means it meets the US federal safety requirements for children's products. The charms and buckles are small parts, so it is not for children under 3. The instructions do not use any heat or flame.

How big are the bracelets?

Kids measure the cord end to end to fit their own wrist. The average bracelet is about 7 inches, and the accent color is cut about 2 inches longer than the bracelet size.

Can kids make a solid colored bracelet?

Yes. Follow the same steps, but leave out the accent cord and the charm for a bracelet in one color.

Is it good for parties and gifts?

With enough for 8 bracelets, it is great for sharing with friends. It works well for birthday parties, sleepovers, and camp, and a finished bracelet makes a handmade gift for a friend.
