The paints are difficult for her to open by herself without spilling and the paint itself is kind of thick to be able to paint thin lines on the magnets. We found it easier to use colored markers to draw and even color the whole magnet.

Fun little project

My daughter had a great time making her own little magnets :) she stuck them on the locker she got for Christmas and loves them. This was a super easy project for her to do all by herself. It kept her occupied and busy while I was unpacking!

Awesome activity for little ones

What can kids make with it?

Twelve fridge magnets in any design they like. Families have painted fruit, smiley faces, animals, flags, and their own initials. Feathers turn a tile into a fish or a pineapple, and googly eyes bring any face to life.

How long does it take?

Painting goes at your child's pace. The paint then needs 1 to 3 hours to dry, depending on the temperature and how thickly it is applied. Once it is completely dry, kids add the feathers and googly eyes and press on the magnets, so the finished pieces can be on the fridge the same day.

What ages is it best for?

It is recommended for ages 5 and up, with adult supervision. Younger crafters may want a grown-up nearby to help with the glitter glue and to make sure each tile is fully dry before the magnet goes on.

How do the magnets go on?
