Music Box Kit

We absolutely loved crafting these music boxes, the cutest details on each piece, easy to assemble and great instructions. My kids loved making these and love playing the music! Very very cool gift!

My son loved these music boxes! He was so proud that he assembled them by himself and it gave him a great distraction from the “screens break”. I will be ordering other kits in the future!! 10 stars!!! Would definitely recommend! In addition to fast delivery and great customer service, these crafts are so easy and cool! We love them!!!

So I throw my towel in for furniture putting together, but this was just the right amount of difficult. I did this project with teens and they loved it. You can paint in first or last, and both worked out okay. They all play fu:r elise in the music box. One is wound up and the other two you crank to play. The pieces are a little bit rough but it was fine. I love this kit and it was so fun to do with my kids.

My kids enjoyed doing this and I always like when there is purpose and learning behind playing.Everything you need is included with the exception of dirt and a cup. If you plan to do any other experiments, you’ll need those items too.The instructions are a little lacking I think. I’m still not 100% sure we did it as intended.I like that this is somewhat reusable, but not something I’ll have to hold onto forever.

I got this kit for my 10-year old son, but unfortunately it didn’t work very well. The instructions weren’t very helpful. It just showed an image with some brief text. It didn't say how much sand to put in. It had a mention of cutting up the large filter for the third cup, which was confusing. It had smaller filters but they were too big to fit in the cups. We put dirty water in the top as it said and the water at the bottom was still dirty, albeit a little lighter. My son quickly lost interest, especially when it didn't work. There was no learning experience, just disappointment. Overall, I would not recommend this kit.

I've built alot of wooden kits and puzzles in the past, some fun experiences, some real bad ones. The first thing is even though these are relatively simple to construct, they are very enjoyable to build. The quality of the laser cutting means all you need to do is take off the little remaining nub and the pieces were ready to assemble. The kit includes three different kits, with three different music boxes. Each kit also includes glue, screws, screwdriver, and individual assbly sheet. Once completed the included brushes and paint can be used to decorate it as you'd like. Just make sure to take your time and properly allow the glue to cure for some of the more tiny joints and you can build an attractive model. The music boxes are hand crank operated so they don't wind up, but they're still nice given the price of the kits. Would make a good project for rainy days.

I really had fun building these kits with three of my kids. I did pretty much everything for my 4 year old, but my 8 and 10 year old boys were able to do about 90% of the build. I had to help with the wiring and a few small adjustments in part placements.I found the build quality to be excellent and the instructions very good. We didn't have any second guessing or redoing because of hard to follow instructions, which is really nice.We didn't have any parts break during the build. I have had things like this happen before, which is frustrating. The feet are a potential week point where the screws thread in. I have one break after some use. Nothing a little wood glue wouldn't fix.Three things I thought could use improvement. They are related to the wiring. 1) The wire is VERY thin and likely won't hold up to much use. Probably something like a 22 or 24 gage. 2) The positive and negative are not marked on the wire, which isn't a big deal, but does mean that you have a 50% chance of the buttons doing the opposite function as you would expect. 3) I added a a knot in the wire inside the build to keep it from pulling directly on the terminals. This will keep the wire connections from coming use when the wire is pulled on during use. See photos for example.With the knotted wire modification, these are great and I highly recommend them!

I got this kit to assemble with my 3 and 6 year old grandsons. I pity the child that doesn't have an adult or older sibling to help them with this. The instructions are vague and the parts, poorly labeled. The components of this kits are fine though, the main viewing tube being a very strong cardboard. There is a nice variety of beads, gems and filters to experiment with and create unlimited viewing experiences. This kit offers a fascinating lesson on the innerworkings of a kaleidoscope. I believe my grandsons will both enjoy and learn a lot from this project. Had the instructions been better and the price a bit lower, I'd have given it 5 stars. As it is, though, I can only rate it a solid 3.

We have a ton of these science kits, some of which are expensive subscriptions. The things that make a good kit are good instructions, precise pieces, and a usable item after. This lacks the first two. However, it almost had them and there are work arounds. The instructions are there, not very helpful or easy to follow for a child. I had no problem reading them, but my 3.5 year old who typically can follow instructions in kits like these struggled a lot. The pieces aren’t as clearly identified as they could be, either. But, it worked. The picture helped and I was able to figure it out. Likely an older child could without the help of an adult. Now, for the pieces. The lense cover is a bit loose, but able to be taped on and the tape pieces they give are definitely sufficient. The viewing tube is very loose and can’t be taped because it needs to be able to turn. This is the video in my review of how easily it comes off. We were able to add some tape on the tube to thicken it up and reduce this looseness, so I won’t complain too much, but even I dropped the whole bottom part when testing it out.Overall, it’s decent. Definitely better ones out there, but also more expensive. We do have a functioning kaleidoscope after some slight modifications and I wasn’t ready to pull my hair out during the process. The price is what would heavily influence my recommendation on this one. If it’s the cheapest option out there, go for it. If the better quality/name brand ones are close, I’d get those instead.

This is a STEM activity set that includes 3 whole dinosaur activities. I was really impressed with the quality of each of the kits and did I mention it contains 3 instead of just 1. I got this for my Grandson who is only 3 so it was a bit of an challenge for him to do alone. This would be a great set for an older kid. We were able to finish 1 dino but I had to do it for him. We decided to save the other 2 for another day. The sets are good and if you follow the directions an older kid would have no problems finishing. Even so I gave this set 5 Stars. It is a great idea and with all the stuff included in the kit it is a very good value. This would be a perfect snow day activity for a school age child.
