Kids dip a dotting tool, press a dot of color onto each circle, and work through the colors one at a time, starting with the darkest. How does dot painting work?

The mandala is printed on the canvas as numbered circles, and the paint pots are numbered to match. Kids dip a dotting tool in the right color and press a dot onto each circle until the numbers and outlines are covered. Our instructions suggest painting the darker colors first.

Does my child need any art experience?

No. The design is already printed and numbered, so kids follow the numbers instead of drawing anything freehand. Picking the right size of dotting tool for each circle is the main thing to learn.

How long does it take?

It goes at your child's pace. Kids can dot one section, take a break, and come back to it later. Let the paint dry completely before attaching the hanging hardware.

What ages is it best for?

It is recommended for ages 5 and up, with adult supervision. Younger crafters can join in with a grown-up guiding them and keeping the small parts out of reach.
