Share
With the month of February upon us, it’s that time of year when grocery stores are stocked with pink and red candies and heart-shaped decorations. Whether your child is excited for the impending sugar rush, or your preteen is ready to tell that special someone they are “in like” with them, Valentine’s Day is a fun and creative holiday for kids of all ages. If you are looking for fun projects to do with you children for this flowery holiday, check out some of these great ideas below!
Toilet Roll Lovebugs
If you are environmentally conscious and want to start teaching your children about reusing waste materials, check out this great craft idea from Red Ted Art. These cute, Valentine’s themed bugs are a great way to reuse toilet paper rolls that would otherwise get thrown into the trash.
Borax Crystals
If you are looking for a project that is a little more science-based, check out this fun project from Chica Circle. These Borax crystal decorations look great hanging in the window or on the fridge and teach a rudimentary science lesson about how solvents dissolve differently at different temperatures.
Valentine’s Slime
If your children are a little older and looking for something popular to share with their friends, then you may want to consider this awesome slime gift idea from Little Bins Little Hands. If you have a child over the age of 6, then you probably already know about the slime craze that has been sweeping through for the last few years. This project is a great way to personalize such a popular project and make it a gift-able item.
(Pinwheel Crafts also offers a very affordable slime kit for sale if you are pressed for time and need to get all the slime making supplies in one easy to use box.)
